Petar Boyadjhieff is a multi-expressive artist, painter, photographer and organizer of the Annual International Exhibition “Miniprint – Kazanlak” in the Art Gallery – Kazanlak.<\/p>\n
He gave a meaningful name to his exhibition – \u2018miradOr\u2019, in the broad sense of \u2018point of view\u2019, but with an emphasis on the personal and individual vision of each person.<\/p>\n
In \u2018miradOr\u2019, Petar Boyadjieff presents experimental photography printed on paper handmade in Mexico from a specific type of wood from the Amate tree.<\/p>\n
The exhibition includes mostly photographs from his recent travels in the Americas including countries from Kanada, where the artist lives, to Colombia and of course some images from his native Bulgaria.<\/p>\n
His allegorical images combine physical realism and poetic imagery to critically engage the viewer and convey powerful ideas within a broader cultural context.<\/p>\n
About the artist :<\/p>\n
Peter Boyadjieff is an artist born in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. He holds a Masters in Visual Arts and Design at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria (1983) with additional specialization in computer graphics, at the I.C.A.R.I. Institute in Montreal, Canada (2000). His allegorical images combine physical realism and poetic imagery in order to critically engage the viewer and convey powerful ideas in a broader cultural context.<\/p>\n
His work has been awarded many prestigious international awards, among which the First Prize at the 27e Salon du Printemps in 2012 (Canada),<\/p>\n
Highly Commended Artist award at the 8th British International Print exhibition in 2012 (UK),<\/p>\n
Gold Awards Winner in B&W Magazine in 2009 (USA),<\/p>\n
Honorary Mention at the International Art Miniature of Vieux-L\u00e9vis (Canada),<\/p>\n
First Prize and Invited Artist at the 28th Miniprint International of Cadaques in 2008 (Spain), an Honorable Mention at the 4th Muestra Internacional de Miniprint de Rosario in 2008 (Argentina)<\/p>\n
The 2007 Grand Prize at the 2007 International Digital Miniprint Bravo Est in Ottawa (Canada).<\/p>\n
His work has also been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, North America, South America and Asia.<\/p>\n

He was also a featured artist for the 2015 Art Venice Biennale in the \u201dBiennale Roadshow\u201d (Italy), as well as a selected artist for Canada\u2019s cultural program \u201cThe Living City\u201d at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai (China).<\/p>\n
