About the author:

 

I was born on February 24, 1975, in Kazanlak. As a child, I received a Smena 8 camera as a gift, and since then I have been an amateur photographer. I lived in Prague for a considerable period of my life, and there photography became an integral part of my daily routine. I love photographing landscapes, especially magical sunsets, lakes, rivers, and oceans. My next long-distance destination is Iceland, and its diverse beauty intensifies my passion for capturing water in all its splendor. Norway is another favorite place where I have lived and, of course, photographed. I like the ocean because its scale allows me to rediscover the diversity of life in nature and the beauty of the light reflected in it every time.

I returned to Bulgaria in 2021 and met many photographers in the city. I began to regularly participate in the Kazanlak Photographers’ Salon.

There is a lot to photograph here—the natural landmarks of our homeland are priceless. I take pictures from high up and try to see through the eyes of birds. I love to take pictures at night, and I don’t know why, but I always see the ocean in the starry sky.

 

About the exhibition:

This first solo exhibition by the author includes photographs from Iceland, Norway, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, and, of course, Bulgaria.

When I photograph water, I feel energized, and it gives me new strength and desire to capture the moment in a frame. I am impressed by the power and freedom of the sea waves.

While shooting for the sake of a good shot and in pursuit of a different wave, more than one camera has tasted the salt of the sea.

The reason for the exhibition is to show how I see nature and the world around us through the lens of my camera.
