We invite you to three festive days at the Museum of Photography and the City of the Rose!
June 05, 2026 /Friday/
Birthday of the Museum of Photography and opening of the demonstration photo lab at the museum with our friends from RadLab. They will hold a workshop on reversible development and will teach us how to create an analog image through reversible development, as well as how a negative can be turned directly into a positive print.
The demonstrations will start at 15:00 and will continue until 19:00. Anyone who wants to participate in person, please register at the following link:

and here is what you can expect:
RadLab Studio is hosting a practical workshop that introduces participants to analog photography, through direct experience of the process. During the event, they will present an alternative method of creating a positive photographic image, which combines shooting and developing in one continuous process. Participants will work with a large-format bellows camera and will follow the entire path of creating the image – from exposure to the final result. We will use photo paper as a negative and apply a reversible development technique, through which the image is directly transformed into a positive. Thus, the photographic process approaches instant photography, but remains entirely manual and material. Within about 30 minutes, each participant will create their own analog print – unique, unrepeatable and entirely built on site. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and does not require prior experience.
The evening will end with cake and sweet stories, as befits a birthday! You are all welcome!

From 10:00 to 17:00 in the courtyard of the Iskra Photo Club house /weather permitting/ – you will be able to view the exhibition Selected from national photo plein airs “Valley of Roses” /free admission throughout the day/;
From 1:00 PM /again, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain/ a culinary show “Rose and Saffron. The Delicious Dishes of Bulgaria” will be held in front of the Museum of Photography, organized by the Culinary Festivals of Bulgaria.

From 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM /even if it rains:)/ we invite you to the Museum of Photography to view the exhibition “Fragments” by Alexander Ivanov /free admission all day/.
